Conscious Pregnancy, Empowered Birth I

As a species, as those “being” human, male or female, we are integrally designed capable of everything that is of true importance to us. It’s built in, it’s natural, it’s God-sent. On planet Earth in this time and space, humans are almost completely disconnected from this truth.

There are many women who are beginning to question, who are beginning to remember. Many may be reading these words right now. There are many women who are now consciously choosing home births, natural births, midwife assisted births rather than doctor deliveries; births in pools, in tubs, and at home instead of hospitals or birthing centers. While these realities are upgrades, they are only the beginning. After all giving birth is a most powerful experience for a woman, and for parents. It’s also simple, totally natural. It’s a huge deal, an extraordinary process! And yet it happens every day and is completely and totally ordinary. This is the paradox of our entire lives.

Birth is happening every day, not only resulting in human children, but also in energetic consciousness. Every moment something is born – a thought, the genesis of an action, collaboration on ideas, creativity. From the human child to the formation of intention, it’s all birth. My favorite example of a type of birth is the breath. There is no physical aspect of existence that is more important, more nourishing, more sustaining than our breath. We can go for some amount of time without food or without water, but how long without breath? As we breathe in, it’s pure source, we’re breathing in pure, sustaining life force.

This air is relative, changing depending on where you are in the world and within yourself, yet this breath is the simple, natural process of birth. For as we breathe, we give life, and as we breathe out, we are surrendering, letting go, dying. Without that breath, life as we know it ceases. As we breathe in again, life is reborn, life is possible. Breath is an unconscious ability. Without thinking of it, you breathe for days and days, and yet still you breathe, just as the body pumps blood, just as the intestines and the stomach process food, just as the liver processes toxins. The body is working to sustain itself, it’s maintaining life, it’s existing, and it’s all built-in. It’s part of consciousness, it’s part of the perfect design. Whether you are conscious of it or not, it’s taking place. You have to really get in the way, you have to really really get in the way for these things to stop, for these things to malfunction. You have to try to stop breathing and then even so most of the time the desire is going to be manifest, it’s going to be birthed to breathe again.

Now what’s really amazing is that these simple natural processes, built and designed in perfection, begin to manifest in human consciousness and human form. The working of cells, the breath, the heart pumping and the circulation of blood – these separate and unconscious processes combine to form what we call the human body. The body manifests within this simple, normal, natural, built-in design, perfect in aspects, but also at times dysfunctional and malfunctioning. When the blood is not pumping properly, heart attack and stroke results. There are people with high blood pressure or low blood pressure because their blood is not pumping properly. There are a great many physical ills that manifest in the human form.

As far as natural and perfectly designed processes, there is no difference between the pumping of blood and giving birth. Since before recorded human history, since as far back as science can tell, humans have been giving birth to humans. Every mammal on this earth is giving birth to other mammals. What’s happening now is that, just like with the pumping of blood and the breathing of air, the simple, normal, natural parts of life, designed in perfection, are broken, or dysfunctional, or fragmented, because of the interference of the human mind. Because of thought, because of ideas, because of conditioning, because of manipulation, because of the abuse from living in this world. So the whole purpose of me writing this is to connect, to remember, to liberate, to empower, to access the state of divinity, and of natural ordinary thrival.

This is the first in a series of New Paradigm articles pertaining to Conscious Pregnancy. Look for the Conscious Pregnancy II in a few days.

Attachment II

Read the first part of this article:  Attachment I

In ways subtle or obvious, people operate schedules dictated by their attachment. This means attachment to a feeling of security, familiarity, a paycheck, a big house, a daily hot shower, a temperate environment, etc. It is certainly possible to enjoy these things without attachment, but realistically, very few are on that level. Seeing through attachment will allow you to maintain peace regardless of the situation or environmental condition. But every person has attachments. There is always room to go deeper within yourself. That’s where pushing your limits and putting yourself in new situations, unfamiliar and possibly uncomfortable situations has its benefit.

Put yourself in situations that you’re not prepared for, or where there are elements of the unknown. This is another area in which people experience a lot of attachment – they don’t put themselves in situations in which they feel insecure. Many people are stuck inside their own idealistic and socio-economic cliques and bubbles.

If you are this type of person who has been pushing her limits, who is actively engaged in the process of exploring attachments, then you will find it beneficial to meditate more, spend less time talking, less time watching tv, watching movies, listening to music, surfing the web. . .

Purposefully put yourself into new situations, talk to people you’ve never talked to before. And observe the thoughts and feelings you have. Just observe, without judgment, just see what’s there.

A ten-day Vipassana* meditation course is a good example: you’re going into an environment that you’ve never been in before, an environment based on silence, which is rare in most human-inhabited places, and you are going to have a lot of time to be with your thoughts and feelings, becoming conscious of the various levels occurring inside your body.

This is what non-attachment looks like in the New Paradigm:  you are living passionately. You are living from inspiration and with purpose. You are doing that deliberately. That is the goal. Life without desire is pointless. To me, desire is the fire of life, it is the fire of creativity. Without desire there is no creativity. Without creativity, there is no life.

GOE Youtube Update

Between Edenite Andrew’s magnificent video productions and Quinn bringing the Real, the Garden is on a roll. Recent videos have dealt with feeding the homeless in Dallas and overcoming stumbling blocks in your personal life. If you haven’t already checked out Quinn or Andrew’s posts, here’s a taste:

New Paradigm January Update

The Garden of Eden is metamorphosing into the sleek machinery of New Paradigm transformation.

From seven residents a mere two months ago, GOE is up to seventeen, including fifteen adults: Quinn, Inok, Shellie, and twelve others. After raid-survivors Rahb and Amadi each made their exit in December, the Japanese girls (Arisa and Ayano) arrived to live here during their winter-break. We added Andrew, Quinn(again) and Kathleen, Brandon, Will the wwoofer, and now Indie. There is a finite amount of space (between the house and land), but New Paradigm abundance is our forte. Aside from Eden Core, we have people sleeping in two guest rooms, two outdoor trailers, a junked bachelor-pad converted Chevy Suburban, a hammock, and a tent. Soon there will be space for two more in one of the guest rooms with the construction of double bunks.

As often as we see new resident and temporary wwoofers and other visitor come to stay, we regularly experience shifts in Consciousness and energy at the Garden. Every single day we are upgrading our lifestyle, relying on our own ingenuity to solve problems, and finding new sustainable solutions. In the past week, Brian, Chantha, Tyler, and Q(a) completed a 5-stall pen for goats. Next up is a hutch for rabbits. When this is finished we will have a killer goat-chicken-rabbit petting zoo. On the slate is a quality-of-life upgrade that everyone will love: endless hot-water for showers and hot-tubbing, our reward for diligently composting every scrap of organic matter. Look for a detailed breakdown and blueprint of our design after we have it tested and perfected. We have also successfully completed our first aquaponics system, which will support soilless fish-plant symbiosis.

We have a host of smaller projects happening, each helmed by our residents based on their unique skills and interests. One of our youngest residents, Tyler, is a veritable idea mill, enthusiastic to to do EVERYTHING: inspired to facilitate the reality of the rabbits and goats, venturing into making quality soaps and salves, weaving paracord bracelets, and constructing PVC hunting bows with Chantha. Chantha’s constant dedication played a big role in the success of the aquaponics system, and in his spare time he has taken to woodworking and perfecting a boomerang design. Bobbie and Inok are working on sewing aromatherapy pillows filled with herbs from the Eden garden, Kathleen is ambitiously fine-tuning small engines and appliances around the complex, and Q(a) is fermenting foods and making kefir. Brandon is doing carpentry and making houses for birds and fairies, and Dasmine experiments with making natural beauty products from natural and harvested materials. Indie, our newest inhabitant, makes dreamcatchers. August Personage maintains this blog, the EdenEpicThreads Etsy, and, with Quinn, is writing a series of New Paradigm books. It’s certainly no small task keeping fourteen people fed and focused each day, but Isness Quinn Is manages with aplomb, and he does it while teaching Simple Sustainability and Freedom Law at the Garden on Sundays, regularly granting interviews to radio shows (guerrilla network, truth frequency radio, and more to come), speaking at events throughout the metro and country, and running for the office of Texas State Representative as the Libertarian candidate in the 96th district. But Quinn’s real occupation is devoting time to the Eden family, raising his two daughters in an environment of love, freedom, and responsibility, devoting his attention to Inok and Shellie, and supporting and guiding the conscious growth of everyone here as they begin to let go of the suppression and conditioning of the world and awaken/integrate a life of thrival.

We at the Garden of Eden are always pleased and excited to meet anyone interested in finding out more about the New Paradigm or contributing skills or expertise.  We are particularly looking for video filming and editing experts, web design and maintenance masters, and someone skilled in the art of sewing. Contact us via Facebook if you or your group is interested in participating, in our community outreach events or other big projects. You may also contribute monetarily through Facebook or GoFundMe.

Brian Anthony Ruude

On a warm day in November a tall, self-assured gentleman wearing a wide-brimmed cowboy hat showed up at the Garden of Eden. He met the residents, toured the place, talked to Quinn and told us he would be back in a week. Exactly seven days later he was back. Enter Brian Ruude. He moved into the house as our live-in handyman and no repair or construction prospect since has phased him. With steady attention he listens to Inok describe a wall she would like disappeared in order to open up a hallway in the house. He asks a few questions, listens to the answers, nods, and replies: “give me three days.”  Brian is handy, but he is also a Prayer Warrior, a Mentor, and Life Coach. This is his experience at the Garden so far:

To bear the best fruit, plant the best seed. I move according to the good, directed to health and sustainability, living in the light and away from systems that thrive and survive in the shadows. This is how I walk unaffected through the senselessness of a world where the innocent and defenseless are sacrificed for the sake of the wealthy, seeing through the media-propagated lie that the solution is to buy, that the system works, that nature is without soul, and that if you aren’t afraid, you aren’t paying attention. My words are watched, my actions are followed – that’s a hacked account and traced positioning, but also the power of unity and the attraction of righteousness. . .

Before arriving at the Garden, I was doing mass concrete construction in several different states and working on writing a self-help book as well as building my Life Coaching business. I was making pretty good money, but there was something deeper missing in life. I knew there was a greater purpose I had to fulfill. I decided to move back to Dallas, because that was where the Spirit was calling me. I said a prayer about finding a place where I could be myself and help others around me in Mind, Heart, Soul, Spirit and Truth. Somewhere I could put to work my well rounded set of skills, but to also tune up my mastery of life. Not thinking that place existed outside of my mind, I started looking for apartments and found a very detailed craigslist post seeking a handyman in exchange for room and board at the Garden of Eden. After receiving a reply email, I visited the website, called to set up an interview and I was immediately filled with the energy of the Holy Spirit saying, this is to be your next destination…

~ A New Paradigm Christmas ~

Today we are happy, we are in love, and we are feasting. Yet instead of spending money to be happy, we are feasting upon free food, healthy food, sustainable food. Instead of plastic from a factory in China, we are blessed each day with gifts that cannot be packaged. We make wine, we build houses, we make toys, and on a daily basis we are enriched. December 25th is like any other day, and every day is like Christmas in Eden.

On Christmas Day, people all over the world are excited, feasting, traveling, visiting – and if they have money – spending lots of it. Children especially look forward to Christmas with eager anticipation. There are two reasons for this:

1) It’s a holiday from school, and

2) Presents.

While these things are undoubtedly occasions for joy, they also highlight the dark side of Christmas, which is only partially masked by the facade of joy.

For children and students everywhere, Christmas is a long-anticipated relief, an escape from the prison that is school. As with spring and summer breaks, the best part of school is being OUT of it! Adults recognize this too. Aside from a short summer vacation, the week from Christmas to New Year’s Day is a rare chance to take it easy and be away from work. Of course, everyone goes back. There needs to be some way to pay the bills racked up over holiday.

To so many people, LIFE is actually a prison. When you HAVE to be somewhere, whether you enjoy it or not, whether it is important to you or not, that is slavery. And for what? For plastic goods made in Chinese factories? For some genetically modified superchemical food? To ensure a safe and benign existence?

The second most celebrated aspect of Christmas is. . . the presents! For some this means hundreds or even thousands of dollars spent. For others this means hand-me-down clothing, or if you’re Bill Murray in the movie “Scrooged,” a package of meat from his butcher father. Rich kids get big, expensive presents; oftentimes so do the “poor kids,” whose parents work countless hours to try and compensate their children for the sad overworked lives they will inherit.

Especially because it is Christmas, let us remember that for many, life is horror. Not surrounded by  loved ones, no money, nothing special or fancy, nowhere to be. I bring the truth about human life all across the planet, and sadly, the reality is depressing. But the reason it’s so depressing, is because it is so hard to see the truth that life is really a blessing. Today is all that we have. That there is way more than enough of everything and every day could be like Christmas. The darkness brings the renewed opportunity to see the light of truth.

uber dank food
Could you eat this well everyday?

So here is what I propose:

Every day could be Christmas. It is possible. It is a reality for the 16 adult people here in Eden who do not HAVE to go to work or be in school. Neither of those realities provide anything of real value anyways. Thinking that life is about mandatory schooling or putting in 30 years for corporate and then retiring is an obsolete paradigm. If you’re lucky, you’re spending Christmas Day with those you love the most – do you think it is impossible to have this every day (at least every day you want it). The over-emphasis on consumerism and the holidays obscures the fact that any day is a good day to give gifts to those around you – the gift of your love, your empathy, your attention. It is possible to feast each day from the foods you love the most. It is possible to wake up rested and excited about the day. It is possible to be creative and fulfilled with the days endeavors and be stronger and healthier each day instead of older and fatter. Life is a miracle and anything is possible. It’s worth a try. You can always go back.  If you do not believe these things are possible, then of course it appears that way. Yet myself and everyone at the Garden are living, breathing, examples that this IS possible. That is the perspective we embody at The Garden of Eden.

Bless,

Quinn

New Paradigm Activation in Costa Rica Part II

This article is continued from NP Activation part I.

Without death there is no pure potential, there’s no clean state, there’s no open space. The cup is full. You can’t refill the cup with a new beverage if it’s full of something else. For me, the death and the rebirth is so obvious and real and true. As I breathe out, I am nothing. I have nothing. I’m just a drop of water. I’m just a grain of sand. Dust.

And then as I breathe in I am everything. I can do anything. It’s all possible, and it never ends. And as I breathe out: surrender, letting go. Death. And as I breathe in: embrace, engagement, passion, inspiration. Each new moment as I die I’m able to experience the Fullness the freshness the newness the nowness of now. But without that death it’s not new, it’s not fresh, it’s not now. It’s a projection, an idea, an attachment, an expectation. Now is always now. Yet without the awareness of awareness the experience simply is not. It is in the surrender, the letting go, that we embrace the now, the present experience of BEING~*~

The body’s cells are continually dying and being reborn. There are countless cells in the human body and their life cycle is apparent, an exchange of death and birth. Same with the skin – there’s dead skin and there’s new skin. Day by day the skin is there. Year after year, the skin is there. But if you are aware, you realize that skin is always dying and new skin is always being reborn. It’s never the same skin, it’s always new skin.

Cells are dying and being reborn, but they’re being reborn from certain defined memories and beliefs. Rather than having a cell that is born as pure potential, a clean slate, you’ve got a cell that’s fragmented. It’s born with attachment, expectation, and an agenda. So the real reason aging is taking place is because there is a cellular Consciousness in alignment with aging (or sickness, or death). These conditions have become so normal that people don’t even think about them. Regeneration in degeneration! But when you’re able to truly die, to let go of all ideas, all agendas, all attachments, all expectations, all control: Boom! Pure potential bursts open and ANYTHING is now possible~*~

After all: Everything is energy, everything is Consciousness, and it’s always in alignment.

Returning to the healer: the key that allowed this New Paradigm activation was the realization that all of her healing work is old paradigm. All of her healing work is based on limitation. She’s a spiritual teacher and so people are coming to her for help, so there are a lot of ideas, a lot of ego involved with that. To face the reality that all of that healing work is based on limitation – that’s a huge, crushing blow. So now the door is open. It makes death potentially very easy. The New Paradigm feast is on a silver platter and I’m just on my knees holding this. She can eat from it, she can taste from it, she can feast from it to her fulfillment.

Most of the time there is a lot of baggage, trauma, repression, stuff that needs to be processed and let go of. Sometimes that experience is very intense or uncomfortable. But because she has been dedicated to spirituality for more than 20 years, and has basically devoted her life to spiritual work and processing, she’s already processed a lot. And even though she’s still in the old paradigm, she’s really come to peace with most of that trauma. And even parts of her life that are still uncomfortable – she’s sort of at peace with the discomfort.

What I shared with her was: that she was operating from the place of ideas, whereas she could still go deeper. People come to her and then she talks about spirits. Everyday she is clearing spirits not only in her house and in her area but for the world. But it is all based on limitation because it all rests on these ideas. When you fully awaken, when you fully become liberated, when you realize the power of the infinite, pure potential, ideas no longer matter. There could be 1000 spirits around you that are all caught in limbo and you’re just breathing and you’re smiling. They can be and you can be, rather than having to clear them all the time. And so I told her: “Your work is valuable, yet it isn’t sustainable; you’re helping people but they just need help again.” And that’s a problem with spiritual teachers and spiritual teachings and the books, healing, diets, systems, routines, and formulas. They’re based on the old paradigm limitation of ideation and thus they only approach, but do not fathom the infinite (except for the ones that do, of course ;-).

In the New Paradigm we realize that everything is energy and it’s all in alignment. Nothing matters, because it never ends! So it isn’t about changing the world. It’s not about changing anybody. It’s not about changing the spirits, it’s not about changing myself, it’s not about changing anything. It’s simply breathing in a state of presence; it’s a state of connection, right now. Breathing, feeling good right now. Thus the experience is in alignment with that and all the form that manifests is in alignment with that. It’s just so beautiful to exist! So amazing, so awe inspiring to witness a transformation like this. In gratitude I breathe. In passion I share.

Sunday Meetup Series

Sunday is the best day to come to the Garden of Eden. That is often when we host our Epic Feasts, a completely free offering of delights from our harvest, completely open to you (details posted on the FB usually on the Friday before). We also host two free meet-ups every Sunday:

  • Simple Sustainability @ 3pm

Don’t just learn about sustainability, come experience sustainable solutions as they happen. What is it like living in a community of fully realized Self-reliance? We encompass food production, energy conservation, creative reuse, aquaponics, and more. Learn how your life can easily become more sustainable and thereby more empowered and free.

  • Liberty and Justice for All @ 6pm

Quinn will get real with the truth about money, Constitutional law, God-given rights, due process of law – as much as can be shared in just a couple hours. We will be looking at the problems facing our people today, and more importantly the REAL and available NOW solutions that can free us and literally change the world.

You do not have to be a law expert or spend the rest of your life studying the law or know everything about the law in order to implement practical solutions for realities concerning the law. Quinn has spent years and thousands of hours researching, studying, questioning, and experimenting with the law; he has found ways to condense the most important information, cutting through judicial complexity to utilize the most powerful truths for freedom and justice.

Come join us this Sunday, December 15th (should be a lovely day) at 3pm or 6pm or all day!
